Coronal Mass Ejection!

The earth is bathed in a massive CME that causes widespread blindness and panic on the day side of the planet. Only those living and working in windowless areas are spared, as the world around them crumbles into mass chaos.

Plants scorched, animals lost in a sea of darkness, humans dying. The survivors are left to pick up the pieces, while countries on the night side of the planet become world leaders, struggling to find ways to help… and benefit.
